Rev. Michael D. Small, was born March 1, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio to the parentage of the late Dr. Rev. Edward and Theretha Small.
Pastor Small accepted his calling to preach God’s Word at the age of 15. He lived and graduated High school in Cleveland, Ohio.
Pastor Small then attended American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1981. On May 5, 2001, he received his Master’s Degree in Christian Ministries from Malone College in Canton, Ohio.
In August of 1982, Rev. Michael D. Small, was united in holy matrimony with Sandra L. Rudolph; both of his daughters Saundra and ShaRita were born on August 31st (twelve years apart).
Pastor Small has served as the Pastor of Mt. Haven Missionary Baptist Church for 18 years; had served as the Pastor of Greater Friendship Baptist Church, Youngstown, Ohio for 16 years. Pastor Small is actively involved in entities throughout the Mt. Pleasant Community, city of Cleveland, state of Ohio, and United States of America.
The list of Pastor Small’s affiliations include: Phi Beta Sigma; the N.A.A.C.P.; National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.; Baptist Ministers Conference (Cleveland and Vicinity), and Baptist Pastors’ Council, Union Missionary Baptist District Association, Moderator, to name a few.
Pastor Small is a strong advocate of Spiritual growth and Christian Education. He is an exemplary leader and teacher. His preaching and living reflects his trust and faith in the Word of God.
